Eric Sheppard: RHP/3B, (2023) Salem, MI. 5-foot-11, 170-pound. In the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 84 mph. (69.2 mph bat speed average). (21.5 mph hand speed average). Bat speed was above average, showed an upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Up the middle approach. In the infield, had a live arm with throws that topped out at 87 mph. Showed off his speed at the event, running a swift 6.7 60-yard dash. Projectable athletic on the mound, showed quick developing arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle and a longer clean arm action. Drop-and-drive feel type pitcher and uses some effort. He has even shoulders and an athletic strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Curveball (72-74 mph), changeup (73-75 mph). Sat with his fastball at 82-84 mph with a max of 85 mph; shows command in the zone both sides of the plate and running action with tight movement.
