Hayden Winger: 3B/C, (2023) Jenison, MI. 6-foot, 197-pound. During batting practice, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 87 mph. (72.05 mph bat speed average). (21.70 mph hand speed average). Smooth while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 79 mph; had sure hands, consistent footwork, and a quick clean exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Clocked a time of 7.03 in the 60-yard dash.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Player Spotlight 

Hayden Winger: 3B/C, (2023) Jenison, MI. 5-foot-11, 190-pound. Athletic at the plate, Winger recorded an exit velocity of 92 mph. Began in a tall stance with a compact load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was explosive, showed a level swing plane and high finish. He barreled up multiple balls with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Showed his live arm in the infield with position velocities up to 88 mph; had consistent hands, fluid developing footwork, and a clean exchange. Movements laterally were average. While catching, he made strong, efficient throws to second at velocities up to 79 mph; shows a clean lengthy exchange, developing fluid feet, and soft hands. Showed his ability to throw runners out with an efficient pop time of 1.93-1.96. Wide setup with average flexibility. Used a loose arm action with an-over-the-top slot while showing decent accuracy to the base. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.13.

Hit: (RHH) Begins in a tall stance with a compact load, then uses a short stride. Explosive bat speed. High finish, level swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 92 mph exit velocity. 

Defense: (C) 1.93-1.96 pop times. Soft hands, developing fluid footwork, clean lengthy exchange. Solid. Wide setup with average flexibility. (IF) Consistent hands, fluid developing footwork, clean exchange.  Movements laterally were average. 

Arm: 88 mph infield velocity. 79 mph catcher velocity. Loose arm action, an-over-the-top slot, decent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.13 (60-yard).

Hitting: At the plate begins with a narrow stance holding the bat over his back shoulder. Short compact swing with a longer finish using a top and release drove the ball to left field with some authority. Has an approach at the plate and does not get cheated. 

Swing: Sets up with a narrow stance using a small hand action prior to the swing. Easy cut that makes consistent contact with a top hand release. 83 mph exit velocity. 
Fielding: Moves on the balls of his feet around the infield. Works lower to the ground as the ball approaches. Threw 74 mph across the infield.
