JJ Manion: SS/RHP, (2023) Kalamazoo Christian, MI. 6-foot, 155-pound. During batting practice, Manion had a max exit velocity of 77 mph. While in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 76 mph. Recorded a 60 time of 7.44 at the event. On the mound, threw his fastball 78-79 mph with a max of 79 mph. Curveball (64-67 mph), changeup (73-75 mph).
Pitching: On the mound a right hand prospect sets up with a narrow set up working at a fast pace throwing from a 3/4 arm angle. Fast arm and two pitch mix. Has the ability to command the zone well and has a big time sweeping curve ball. Shows some deception on the change up. Fast arm prospect that has room for growth.
Hitting: At the plate sets up with a balanced stance, shows a short compact approach at the plate producing line drives. Takes the ball where it's pitched. Top of the order hitter.
