Jalil Palmer: LHP/1B, (2023) Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep, MI. 6-foot, 195-pound. Capable at the plate, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 90 mph. (66.7 mph bat speed average). (21.6 mph hand speed average). Starts in a narrow stance with a tight load, then uses a short quick stride. Has average bat speed, level swing plane and level finish. He found a few barrels during his round. Line drive approach. Smooth while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 79 mph; had a packing exchange, athletic footwork, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Decent accuracy to the bases, used a firm consistent arm action with an-over-the-top slot. On the mound, curveball (61-64 mph), changeup (73-76 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 79-81 mph and topped out at 82 mph; (Max spin 1716; Avg 1606).

Jalil Palmer: LHP/1B, (2023) Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep, MI. 6-foot, 193-pound. Raw at the plate, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 87 mph. Started in a tall open stance with a choppy load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was quick, had a simple flat swing plane and level finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. In the infield, recorded a position velocity of 80 mph. In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 86 mph. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.79. Athletic on the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a high ¾ arm angle with a long arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses high effort. He has even shoulders with an athletic balance point. Shows a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 80-83 mph and topped out at 84 mph; showed decent control and tilt with straight movement. Had sweeping action and glove side control on his 10/4 curveball (72-75). Has sporadic control and sinking action on his heavy changeup .

Hit: (LHH) Began in a tall open stance with a choppy load, then used a short stride. Quick bat speed. Level finish, simple flat swing. Line drive approach. 

Power: 87 mph exit velocity, average 78.46 mph. 61.72 mph bat speed average. 19.27 mph hand speed average.

Arm: 80 mph infield velocity. 86 mph outfield velocity. 

Speed: 7.79 (60-yard).

Pitching: Athletic. Drop-and-drive delivery, high effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick arm speed, long arm action. Athletic balance point, even shoulders, a falling off finish.

FB: T84. 80-83 mph. (Max spin 1712;  Avg 1608). Decent accuracy, tilt, straight movement. 

CB: 72-75 mph. Glove side command, sweeping action, 10/4 movement. 

CH: Sporadic control, sinking action, heavy movement.

Pitching: On the mound sets up on a slant throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot, extends well driving off the mound. Fastball glides out the hand sitting 77-80 mph. Sweeping action on the breaking ball that worked the lower half of the zone 62-65 mph. 76 mph change up with a heavy sink. 

Hitting: At the plate has a tall stance that he works his way into a crouch during his load. Uphill smooth swing path with hard contact. Showed the ability to drive the baseball. Line drive hitter that works the pull side. 

Fielding: Shows a polished approach working towards the ball. Fields the ball out front taking and aggressive step while throwing with carry.
