6-foot-3, 185 pound tall strong prospect. Fastball had good movement at 84-87 mph. Struggled to locate curve-ball that had good movement at 70-73 mph. Gets good leverage and downhill well, an arm to follow. Good athletic range in outfield with good hands. Threw 87 mph from the outfield with good accuracy. Ran a 4.67 home to 1st. Rigid set up at the plate with a good approach to all fields. Has power to the pull side. Bat speed registered at 79 mph.
6-foot-3. 195 pound strong arm project-able athlete. Has great size and leverage which allows his pitches to get on you late. Fastball is 86-88 mph with plus control. Slurve at 70-72 mph with late break. Showed good hands and a strong arm from the outfield. Clocked at 88 mph, needs to improve accuracy. Wide base at the plate with power in his bat. Pull approach with a bat speed of 80 mph.
Joey has a prototypical pitcher’s body at 6 foot 3 and 176 pounds with lean muscle and room for future strength and weight gains. Although young, he has some pitchability with no major mechanical red flags. His fastball is mostly straight at 79-85 with a downer curve at 60-62 and he’s around the zone with both. He doesn’t back down and should be a force to reckon with in the years to come.
Prechtel passes the "eye test" when he walks in. 6-foot-3 176-pounds 2016 RHP. Setup is stiff at the beginning but arm worked well. Touched 85mph with FB but sat primarily between 82-84. Projects best as a pitcher moving forward. H3/4 slot. Arm was quick. 12-6 breaking ball that spun well. 61-63mph. Good feel for change 75-77. Ran 7.15 in 60. Evidence of his athleticism. 78-81mph from OF. High Follow.
