Begins in a wide balanced stance with a controlled load, then uses a toe tap stride. Had a simple level swing plane and a balanced finish. Up the middle line drive approach. In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 80 mph. Capable smooth on the mound, showed good arm speed, also used an over-the-top high ¾ arm angle with a long loose arm action. Tilt-and-topple type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed consistent tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands closed with upright recoil finish. (Max spin 1967; Avg 1676).
