Luke Housler: 2B, (2022) Hackett Catholic Prep, MI. 5-foot-10, 145-pound lean frame. Smooth in the box, Houslers best exit velocity was 85 mph. Began in an athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride to initiate his swing. Bat speed was explosive, showed upward swing plane and good extension on his finish. Produced a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive approach. Capable in the infield, his best throw was registered at 70 mph; had consistent footwork, firm hands and a natural exchange. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a consistent arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.16.
Hitting At the plate sets up with a narrow stance with a slight knee bend keeping his hands back. Gets his hands to the ball showing clean contact at the plate. Ball jumps off his barrel when he makes flush contact.
Fielding : In the infield creeps up as the ball is being hit from a tall position keeps his glove out fielding the ball closer towards his body clean glove work on the backhand growing across the diamond.
