Boutin has an athletic 6-foot-3, 190-pound build. On the mound, he uses a polished motion with a high-3/4  arm action. He shows a free and easy 85-87 mph fastball with sink. He displayed a  sweeping 72-77 curveball with a big break, and a 79 mph deceptive changeup thrown with good arm speed.

6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect. Upright and open stance. Attacks the baseball with an aggressive approach creating good separation with an 85 mph exit velocity. Moves well laterally at third base and uses long arm action for throws across the infield at 81 mph. On the mound, Boutin has an athletic delivery while using an over the top arm slot. Fastball sits 82-84 mph with downhill action. Curveball has a big, sweeping break at 69-70 mph and changeup showed the ability to develop into a quality third pitch.

6-foot-2, 165-pound prospect. High ¾ arm slot with a projectable frame from the right side. Fastball with late arm side run at 79-82 mph. Sharp tight spin curveball at 67-71 mph. Changeup near fastball arm speed at 73-74 mph. Soft hands with a low arm slot throwing 69 mph across the infield. Ran a 4.50 home to first. Open to even toe tap stride, some strength in a pull approach at the plate. Bat speed registered at 82 mph.
