8/9/13 Piesko pitched well at Unsigned Senior Games tallying three strikeouts.  The slender lefty has yet to make a big velocity jump although his arm works well leading us to believe he will.  Had good down angle and went away from arm side well.  Smoother delivery with quick arm. Definite follow.  Expect him to make a jump next spring.

Piesko has made some jumps in velocity recently and has been sitting 82-83 mph with his fastball. He has a quick arm and armside run on his fastball and change up.  Expect him to grow and put on plenty of strength moving forward which will undoubtedly lead to a spike in velocity.

6/19/12 Phillip showcased from the mound on this particular day. A LHP standing at 6-foot-1, 150-pounds Piesko was up to 81 MPH as a sophomore. He used a high 3/4 delivery to get some fade on his change up, which is the better of his two off speed pitches at this point. From time to time he rushed in his delivery and needs to slow himself down a touch to get better balance and consistency.
