Campbell is one of the more intriguing prospects in this class, and whatever he may lack in polish and repetitions, he more than makes up for in athleticism. Also a star football recruit, the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder is a 6.5-runner with equally as impressive tools on the diamond. His natural progression with high school repetitions were stunted because of Covid, but the upside clearly remains. What stood out most, to me, in his early high school at-bats was the ability to track pitches and make adjustments during at-bats. However, at-bats are needed, and whether that happens in a professional setting or on campus, Campbell has a chance to make a big jump soon.
Swing: Sets up with a tall athletic stance keeping his hands back. Has a front leg trigger and shows quick hands at the plate. Makes solid contact with the ball jumping off his bat. A nice blend of contact and power at the plate. 89 mph exit velocity. Ran a 6.62.
5-foot-11, 167-pound athletic built prospect is an elite prospect with big time ability. Ran the second fastest 60 time on the day with a 6.67. A CF with ballhawk skills who covers ground. His movements are natural and flow. Registered an 83 mph velocity from the OF. At the plate drives the ball consistently while swinging a wood bat.
60 time: 6.67
Exit velo: 85 mph
OF velo: 83 mph
5-foot-8, 140 lean athletic prospect used an upright stance with minimal stride. Made solid contact each swing using a level two hand swing producing line drives. 81 mph exit velocity.
