Tommy Kroll: LHP/OF, (2023) Midland, MI. 5-foot-8, 145-pound. Confident at the plate, the left-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 71 mph. (57.38 mph bat speed average). (17.62 mph hand speed average). Begins in a crouched open stance with a quick load, then uses a small leg kick. Had a short simple swing plane, explosive bat speed and level finish. Was able to create a lot of loud contact and found some barrels. Up the middle approach. Confident in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 76 mph; showed a fluid exchange, and aggressive footwork. Arm action was loose. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.43. Athletic on the mound, showing quick arm speed he had a compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Balance point is tall with an even shoulders during delivery. Lands square with a recoil finish. Changeup (64-65 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 72-75 mph and topped out at 76 mph; had running action and glove side command. (Max spin 1915; Avg 1828). His curveball (62-64) showed consistent control and slurvey action. (Max spin 2017; Avg 1973).
