1/19/15 - Schaffitzel is a class of 2017 middle infielder in the class of 2017. 5-foot-11, 183-pound frame. Attends Hillcrest HS in Southwest Missouri. Bat left-handed, showed a balanced set-up, knee in to stride, minimal hand load, short path, simple middle-oppo approach. Recorded an 80 mph exit velocity, ran a 4.40 home-to-first. In the infield fielded everything cleanly, high three-quarters arm action, 75 mph throwing velocity, very accurate throws.

7/15/14 – Schaffitzel is a strong 5-foot-11, 170-pound left-hand hitting middle infielder. He ran a 60 at 7.90 and home-to-first 4.75. Brant throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. His throws were mostly accurate and had some carry. His position velo was 65 MPH. At the plate, Schaffitzel has an athletic setup with a smooth load. He has a slightly uphill swing with a strong lower half. Brant has good balance and stays gap-to-gap. Schaffitzel had an exit velo of 72 MPH.
