Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-foot-1, 205-pound physical and mature frame.
Hit: RHH. At the plate starts with a neutral stance and slightly crouched posture. Hands get set deep into the body with a high back elbow and wrapped barrel. Short stride to a wide base. Slight weight drift into a firm front side. Slight uphill bat path with whippy barrel action. Attacks the ball out in front of the plate with a pull side approach. Finishes with an upright posture and maintains balance throughout the swing. Does a good job of matching plane with the pitch.
Power: 82 mph exit velocity off the tee and 85 mph exit velocity in BP.
Arm: RH. INF-78 MPH. High ¾ arm slot with a short arm action.
Defense: In the infield fields the ball with a soft glove and a feel for glove action. Feet work well around the bag and gets body turned in sync on throws to second. Shows the ability to field the ball on the run with clean exchanges out of the glove.
Run: 7.52 runner in the 60.
Delivery: On the mound uses simple footwork around the rubber working to a mid height balance point. Slow and methodical rhythm and pace and repeats the delivery well. Leans back onto a firm back leg with a high front shoulder tilt. Works from the middle of the rubber and strides directionally down the center of the mound into a firm plant leg. Hands work high on the chest with clean hand break out of the glove. Finishes on balance and in an athletic position.
Arm Action: High ¾ arm slot with a short arm action.
FB: 79-82 mph, short arm action with sinking action.
SL: 68-69 mph, two-plane break with sweeping action.
CH: 72-74 mph, kills the spin with good fade and fastball hand speed.
