Begins in a balanced stance with a wrapping load, then uses a big leg kick. Bat speed is quick, exhibits short swing plane and level finish. He Produced some loud contact and found multiple barrels. Pull side approach. While catching, recorded pop times of 2.18-2.37, he produced a position velocity of 71 mph during throw downs; showed consistent feet, a fluid exchange and sure hands. Some flexibility and quiet setup.Had a short arm action and an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.68.
Kline is an athletically built 5-foot-10 160-pound right-handed hitting catcher and right-handed pitcher in Missouri’s 2024 class. He ran a 4.66 home to first and has an 83 mph exit velocity. At the plate, balanced stance, rocks with weight shift to back side to load, minimal hand movement, short in line stride, level path, middle of the field line drives. Behind the plate, 76 mph positional velocity, set up with low target, flexibility in hips, quiet glove to receive, over the top arm slot, creates momentum to throw with footwork, high transfer, clean.
