A standout showing on the mound from Sunday’s look came from RHP Carter Shipman (Jackson, 2026). Standing at 5-foot-11, 190-pounds with strength throughout, Shipman used an easy, repeatable delivery to consistently pound the zone with a three pitch mix. The junior ran his fastball up to 85 mph, sitting 82-84 mph while showing advanced feel for his changeup at 74-76 mph and the ability to command both sides of the zone with his slider at 70-74 mph. Shipman will be an arm to keep and eye on with plenty more velocity to come as he continues to polish his game.
