Positional Profile: 3B
Body: 6-2, 200-pounds. Physical build with present strength.
Hit: RHH. Starts with a neutral stance and athletic posture with hands getting set at shoulder height. Slow loads the weight into the inside of the back knee. Simple stride with early rhythm into an athletic base. Lower half works linearly through the zone into a firm front leg. Hands work linearly through the zone working to the inside part of the ball and getting good extension. Hands work quickly through the zone and shows good overall bat speed. Simple and repeatable swing mechanics with good feel for the barrel in the zone.
Power: 98.8 max exit velocity, averaged 96.1 mph. 268’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 90 mph. High 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action.
Defense: Attacks the ball with shorter strides and controlled rhythm. Fields the ball with a feel for glove action and soft hands. Clean exchanges out of the glove. Maintains good body control throughout the fielding process.
Run: 7.23 runner in the 60.
Jack Holubowski: 3B/RHP, (2023) Marquette, MO. 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic frame. At the plate, Holubowski showed his power ability with an exit velocity of 91 mph. During setup, has a slow load then uses a controlled stride. Has flat swing plane, electric bat speed and good extension on his finish. He Barreled up lots of balls with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 77 mph; showed sure hands, consistent feet and a clean exchange. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.33.
