Transferred to San Jac from St. Louis. 

6/17/14 – Zimmerman is an athletic 6-foot-2 180-pound catcher.  Zimmerman had pop times of 2.02 to 2.15.  He has a quick, clean release with a positional velo of 75 MPH. During batting practice, Zimmerman consistently squared the ball up with a gap-to-gap approach.  He has a level swing path and a fast bat speed.  Zimmerman hit a home run to left field during the scrimmage.  He has an exit velo of 86 MPH, runs a 4.7 home-to-first and a 7.62 60.  

2/18/13: Behind the plate, the athletically built 6-foot-2, 185-pound Zimmerman showed showed quick instincts and body control while blocking, He has quick footwork and a good glove to hand transfer, recording a top pop time of 2.26 and top throw of 70-mph. At the plate, Zimmerman shows balance through his swing, with extension through contact, creating some barrel whip through the zone and hitting the ball to all fields.
