Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 5-10, 170-pounds. Well-proportioned frame.
Hits: RHH. Wide base with knee bend, hands start at midline and work back quickly, toe-tap trigger. Quick hands with strength, flat bat path, line drive approach.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 76.8 MPH. 314' max distance.
Arm: RH. Short compact arm action, high 3/4 slot. Dropped down to a 3/4 slot up the middle.
Defense: Fluid feet that defend in rhythm, stays low to the ground, soft hands and clean funnels to release. Comfort and tempo on the move.
Run: 7.16 runner in the 60.
Sam Wyrick: SS/RHP, (2024) Helias Catholic, MO. 5-foot-7, 130-pound slim frame. During batting practice, Wyrick recorded an exit velocity of 75 mph. Started in a crouched stance with a tight load, then used a toe tap to start his swing. Bat speed was quick, showed flat swing plane and level finish. He found a few barrels in his rounds. Base hit approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 77 mph; had a fluid exchange, sure hands and choppy footwork. Used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.7. On the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a short arm action while showing some arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and shows some effort. Balance point is tall with even shoulders during delivery. Lands square. Changeup (70-70 mph).Threw his fastball 72-74 mph with a max of 75 mph. He shows some action on his curveball (62-64).
