Tommy Gibbar: OF/3B, (2024) Seckman, MO. 5-foot-7, 150-pound slim frame. During batting practice, Gibbar recorded an exit velocity of 79 mph. Began in a wide stance with a low load, then used a controlled stride just before his swing. Bat speed is above average, uses an inside-out swing plane and level finish. He Barreled up some balls throughout the round. Opposite field approach. From the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 70 mph. Projectable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 69 mph; has a lengthy exchange, quick feet and sure hands. Had decent accuracy to the base with an-over-the-top slot. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.43. Fluid on the mound, has good arm speed and an over-the-top arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with a clean finish. Changeup (58-59 mph).Threw his fastball 66-67 mph with a max of 68 mph; had a some command that shows straight movement. His 12/6 curveball (56-57) has gradual action.
Gibbar is a 5-foot-7 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and third baseman in Missouri’s 2024 class. He ran a 4.64 home to first and had a 75 mph exit velocity. At the plate, wide base, minimal stride, gathers with weight shift in back side, bat path has some lift, middle to pull side approach. In the outfield, over the top arm slot, quick to the ball with footwork, creates momentum with a crow hop after the catch, clean transfer, 70 mph positional velocity. On the infield, 63 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, aggressive to the ball, clean transfer and throw.
