Tyler Macon: SS/2B, (2023) Kirkwood, MO. 5-foot-10, 160-pound slim frame. A high energy player, had a max exit velocity of 86 mph. Starts in a crouched stance with a big load, then uses a toe tap just before his swing. Bat speed is above average, exhibits short swing plane and high finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Above average in the infield, displayed a velocity of 83 mph; had a clean exchange, athletic footwork and soft hands. Showed a high slot and a long arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.96.

Macon is an athletic and raw 5-foot-5, 130- pound, middle infielder in Missouri’s 2023 class. At the event, he ran a 4.72 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 76 mph. During hitting evaluations, starts in an open stance, abbreviated leg lift into load position, slightly closed off stride, loose and quick hands, showed some feel for the barrel. Defensively, Macon has good actions, shows off his athleticism on the field, fluid footwork, clean arm action, high three-quarter release, positional velo of 73 mph, very accurate throws.

At the plate, open stance, calm leg kick, some rotation to load, hand control the bat head, middle to pull side contact. On the infield, 61 mph positional velocity, athletic and quick actions for a young age, high three quarters arm slot with loose arm action, soft hands, fields ball in athletic position, young player still developing physically will add strength to already fluid and athletic actions, player to watch in the 2023 class.
