C Carson Ramos (Timberland, 2025) recorded advanced bat speed metrics for a prospect of his age at the Top Prospect Games: Underclass event this summer. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound backstop averaged 22.9 mph of hand speed and 74 mph of barrel speed, reaching 25.6 mph and 77.1 mph peaks in both categories, respectively.

Hit: RHH. At the plate starts with an open stance and athletic posture. Pre loads the weight into a bent back knee with hands getting set at shoulder height with a flat bat angle. Slow leg kick and load with slight stall out at the top of the leg kick. Gets very linear in the swing into a firm front leg. Plays the ball out in front o the plate with a rotational path with the hands and lower half. Developing balance throughout the swing.
Power: 88 mph exit velocity in BP.
Arm: RH. C-71 mph. Pop Times: 1.97-2.07. INF-76 mph. High ¾ arm slot with a short and quick arm action.
Defense: Behind the plate receives the ball with one knee in the dirt and feel for working underneath the ball with the glove on the low pitch. On throws to second raises up early out of the crouch with quick feet and hips and a quick release. Shows good blocking technique with good posture. In the infield attacks the ball with short footwork and lateral routes around the ball. Fields the ball out in front of the body with a feel for glove action and soft hands.

Carson Ramos: C/3B, (2025) Holt, MO. 5-foot-10, 155-pound slim frame. During batting practice, Ramos clocked an exit velocity of 70 mph. Begins in a wide stance with a small load, then uses a controlled stride just before his swing. Bat speed was quick, used flat swing plane and level finish. He found some barrels in his rounds. Line drive approach. While catching, he had a pop time of 2.40-2.64, fluid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 67 mph; showed sure hands, a clean exchange and choppy feet. His best recorded throw to second was clocked at 64 mph; had a clean exchange, quick footwork and sure hands. Some flexibility and staggered setup.Used a low ¾ slot with a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 8.25.
