Jackson Evers: Madison Ridgeland Academy High School, Class of 2023; 6-foot-2, 170-pound; 1B/RHP. During batting practice, the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 83 mph. Begins in balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then uses a toe tap to initiate his swing. Exhibits rapid bat speed, as well as a straight-to-the-ball swing plane and good extension on his finish. He showed plus arm strength as his throws to second reached velocities of 78 mph. Behind the plate, he displayed next-swing1.80-2.10 catching ability by boasting a 1.80-2.10 pop time; Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. On the mound, he threw his fastball 72-76 mph. He threw his curveball with consistency at 64 mph.
Very balanced approach at the plate. Good footwork for an advanced frame at an early age. Very projectable body at 6-2 170lbs with plenty of room to fill out.
