Projectable athletic frame standing 6-foot-2, 165-pounds. Upright athletic stance, starts square, toe tap to stride, and lands on line. Hands load back in rhythm, short flat path, and bat is quick out of the zone. Line drive approach that worked gap to gap with a 76 mph exit velocity. Works outside the ball on approach, hands present out front to catch, and a clean centered exchange. Short arm circle and throws from a three-quarter arm slot at 63 mph across. Ran a 7.27 60. Cabaniss worked primarily out of the stretch. Starts with a knee to knee lift, hands set high, and clean hand break. Strides out, lands closed, and falls off slightly towards first base side. Full arm action and throws from a three-quarter arm slot. Fastball sat 70-74 and touched 75 on occasion. The fastball had a crossfire look at times and he showed ability to get it to both sides of the plate with occasional arm side run. The breaking ball was inconsistent at times. When it was at its best it had 11/5 shape and a bigger break. The breaking ball sat 64-67 mph. Appeared to have a solid feel of the changeup. Was able to throw the 70-71 mph pitch for strikes consistently.
