Strong base and build in the 5-foot-11, 190 pound frame, with maturity.  Works easy and with good fundamentals in most aspects of the game.  Right handed hitter starts from a slight crouch and open stance with a vertical bat.  Works back to even with a short stride and smooth load back.  Better than average batspeed and a level, gap-to-gap approach, with good rhythm ended with balance.  Exit velocity registered at 87.  Works to get the bat through the zone on every swing.  Barrel awareness can improve and should allow for more consistent power.    Behind the dish, presents an easy target for pitchers with good hands.  Showed accuracy on each throw to 2B, pop times ranging 2.10-2.14 from a high-3/4 slot and loose arm action.  Ran a 4.38 thirty and tested at 7-foot-10 in the standing broad jump.  On the infield, works with soft feet and hands, funneling to the mid section, consistently catching the ball.  Short arm action leads to a high-3/4 slot showing carry and some accuracy.  Velocity across the infield registered at 78.

From the State Games of NC, D’Ercole showed the ability play multiple positions with a strong 5-foot-11, 185 pound frame.  During the workout, he flashed pop times of 2.07 with an average arm.  At third, he can play a little high with his hips, but his hands worked clean on balls within his range.  Offensively, the swing plays with a strength over batspeed platform and generates some uphill leverage.  In games, the backstop showed an ability to handle arms and receive, while producing multiple throws on the bag, ranging 2.22-2.39.
