6-foot-1, 175 pound two way player ran a 6.88 60 yard sprint. Ranked #24 in Nebraska 2020 class. On the mound topped out at 83 mph with his fastball. Arm works clean and easy to a mid ¾ arm slot, ball gets on a downhill plane. Slight pause in delivery when loading his back hips. Sweeping 61064 mph breaking ball, horizontal plane with some depth. Showed little feel for change up. At the plate, slightly open tall stance, low hands, leg kick triggers aggressive compact swing, pull side contact. Posted an 90 mph exit velocity off a tee. In the infield, easy actions, plays the ball outfront, clean transfers. Topped out at 84 mph across the infield.
8/13/17- 6-foot, 165 pound two way player ran a 7.27 60 yard sprint. On the mound topped out at 80 mph mid ¾ arm slot. Arm is long and loose outfront. Commanded the strike zone. Front side flys open at times. Strong feel for 57-62 mph sweeping frisbee breaking ball. At the plate, open stance, leg tick triggers, low hands, uphill barrel path, gets stuck on backside, ground ball contact during round of BP. Posted an exit velocity of 87 mph off a tee. Athletic actions in the infield.
10/30/16- 6-foot, 150-pound two-way player ran a 5.41 40 yard sprint. Slightly open stance at the plate, leg kick triggers a quick barrel through the strike zone, showed the ability to adjust hands with the pitch. All fields approach. Posted an exit velocity of 74 mph off a tee. In the infield, has active feet, funnels through the ball, ball has a tendency to get deep in fielding stance. Low ¾ arm action that topped out at 66 mph across the infield. On the mound, topped out at 76 mph with his fastball. Mechanically repeats well, weight gets stuck on backside, front side stays closed, low ¾ arm action gets sweeping action on 60-62 mph breaking ball. Changeup should continue to improve and was consistently up in the strike zone.
