Jake Carlisle: 3B/RHP, (2024) Portsmouth, NH. 6-foot-2, 200-pound athletic projectable build. Above average and projectable during batting practice, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 93 mph. (72.1 mph bat speed average). (21.1 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then used a small stride. Has developing quick bat speed, flat loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Athletic and capable while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 82 mph; showed developing soft hands, a natural exchange, and developing average feet. Athletic in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 80 mph; has a natural exchange, developing consistent feet, and developing soft hands. Movements laterally were developing and he fields the ball out front. Used a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.7.
Carlisle is a projectable 6-foot-2, 185 pound right-handed hitting 2-way prospect. At the plate, Carlisle hits out of a wide stance, with the hands set lower, near the chest. The bat takes an uphill path through the hitting zone and produces a lot of solid contact. Defensively, Carlisle showed good feet, soft hands and moves well laterally. On the mound, Carlisle uses a simple, direct delivery. He separates well at the top and gets down the mound in line with home plate. The arm works out of a higer ¾ arm slot and gets some arm side run on his fastball. He also showed a good 12/6 breaking ball and the feel for a changeup.
