Uses a small stride forward and rotates through his shoulders, creating some lift in his swing. Gets uphill and lifts the ball easily to the pull side, sprayed some line drives to the opposite field as well. Registered an 81 MPH max exit velo. Behind the dish, Gomez worked a 2.07-2.22 pop time paired with a 70 MPH throw from the crouch. Sits very low in the crouch, giving a small target for the pitcher. Simply uses a quick switch of the feet to get in line with his target, does not fully come out of the crouch to make the throw. Soft hands that quickly exchange by the ear into a short, snappy throw from a typical catchers slot.
