No unnecessary movements, minimal load and is always on time. Line-drive stroke with consistently hard contact to all fields. Athletic and aggressive actions in the outfield, with a top velo of 83 MPH on throws. On the mound, Nugent is left-hander who pitched only from the stretch. Sets up tall, right in the middle of the rubber with his feet closed off. Easy delivery with a smooth arm action. Keeps the shoulders in line as well as his stride direction. Threw multiple pitches for strikes. FB was 78-81 MPH. SL with lateral tilt at 65-67 MPH. CH imitated FB intent and was 70-71 MPH.
Nugent possesses a strong and compact build at 5-foot-9, 168-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.43 seconds, top exit velocity recorded at 85 MPH from the right side and 87 from the left. Hitting from the right side, starts tall with his front foot slightly inverted. Hands begin up high, have two distinct movements, down then back in his load. Minimal stride, is strong through impact.
