Roche has a lanky and athletic build at 6-foot-1, 170-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.27 seconds with a top recorded exit velocity of 87 MPH. The tall lefty starts in a wide and open stance. His first movement is a backwards shift of his hands. Quick stride, gets himself on time. Gets on plane early and consistently found the barrel. Showed off some gap-to-gap pop. In the outfield, used short and choppy steps to gather himself before fielding the ball. Top outfield throwing velocity of 87 MPH. On the mound, Roche also has a wider setup before moving towards the first base side of the rubber. Leg kick moves in sync with his hands. Shoulders stay even, feet are slightly closed at foot strike. Loose arm with a ¾ slot. FB sat 82-83 MPH. CB had a tendency to back up on him at 68-69 MPH. Also mixed in a slider with sweeping action at 70-71 MPH. CH was 76-77 MPH.
