Offensively- Starts in an athletic stance with an even base, hands above his shoulders. Uses a small stride while loading his hands down and back to get into his swing. Pulls the hands in and drives them through the zone, tilting the chest up and swinging on an uphill plane. Good extension through contact, max exit velo of 91 MPH.
Defensively- Traditional catcher’s setup with weight on his toes, quick out of the crouch driving off his back leg. Gains momentum towards his target out of the crouch with a quick transfer to the glove hand. 2.12-2.26 pop time with a 71 MPH arm from behind the dish.
