Dooley has a strong and athletic frame at 5-foot-10, 170-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.15 seconds. Recorded an exit velo of 85 MPH. Starts at the plate in a wide and even stance with his weight slightly shifted onto his backside. Hands begin just above shoulder height. Creates pre-swing rhythm. Small leg kick. Hands move directly backwards during his load. Quick hands, shows ability to hit line drives to all fields. Keeps his hands through the zone. High finish. Defensively, took reps behind the plate. Recorded a positional velo of 64 MPH. Gets to his feet quick, makes his transfer at chest height. Short arm action, made throws from a 3/4 arm slot. Recorded pop times ranging from 2.37-2.40 seconds. 
 
Futures Preview (6/4/16)
A 5-foot-7 155-pound catcher with an Exit Velo of 84, still very raw in his abilities. Right hander showcases a short compact swing through the zone, utilizing a short leg kick with a small hand load. Showed excellent barrel awareness and flat bat path to the baseball. Catching-  shows average receiving skills and quick footwork on throws to 2B. Pop time: 2.19-2.22, 69 MPH throws to 2B. Throws from over-the-top, can get more carry on throws if he finishes his momentum toward second base.
