Alster has a wiry and athletic build at 6-foot, 175-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.83 seconds, top recorded exit velocity of 87 MPH. At the dish, the left-handed hitter starts in a tall and open stance with his hands cocked all the way back. Gradual leg kick, creates a smooth weight transfer. Hands have minimal movement through his load before exploding through the zone. Strong lower half, clears the hips. In the outfield, Alster had a controlled approach to the ball, used a crow hop to create momentum. Top positional velocity of 78 MPH. On the mound, Alster sets up offset with his feet towards the third base side of the rubber. Works with rhythm, both halves in sync. Efficient lower half, rides the slope. Even shoulder tilt. FB sat 75-76 MPH, touching 77 MPH, thrown for strikes. CB had some 1/6 break at 65-66 MPH. Also displayed a CH with depth at 68-70 MPH.
