DeChurch has a strong, athletic build at 5-foot-11 210-pounds. Ran the 60 in 7.98 seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 92 MPH. Offensively – RHH starts in a tall stance with hands high above shoulder situated near his head. Uses a small leg lift and stride to start swing. Hands load down and back. Quick hands and hips through the zone, finishes balanced and controlled. Shows some power into the gaps. Defensively- took reps at first base. Throws topped at 79 MPH across the infield. Footwork is clean and plays through throws both to second base and across. On the mound, fastball topped at 81 MPH and sat mostly 78-80. Curveball showed smaller, sharper 1/7 break at 71-72 MPH. Strike thrower from the left side. Easy, repeatable mechanics from a high-3/4 slot. Loose and clean arm action.
