5-foot-10, 175-pound athletic frame. He performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.83. In the box, the right-handed hitters best exit velocity was 83 mph. Started in an athletic stance, had a quick load and used a leg kick to start his swing. Has quick bat speed, as well as a short swing plane and level finish. Was able to find some barrels through his round. Base hit approach. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 84 mph; has a twitchy clean exchange, soft hands and athletic footwork. Laterally, movements were athletic and showed his glovework out front. Had a long arm action and a high ¾ slot. On the mound, he had quick arm speed and threw from a high ¾ angle. He is a feel type pitcher. Has a consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square. His fastball sat 77-79 mph. His changeup (68-69) shows fading action. His 11/5 curveball (61-63) had consistent control.
Faris has a strong frame at 5-foot-10 175-pounds. Fastball topped at 77 MPH and sat mostly 76-77 from a high-¾ slot. Curveball showed late break at 63-64 with 11/5 depth and a changeup with armside fade. Strong balance leg and level shoulders going down the mound. Head will fall off to gloveside upon release. Strong landing leg and finishes with extension over lead leg. Offensively, ran the 60 yard dash in 7.12-seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 80 MPH. Quiet, upright start to in his stance with hands below his back shoulder. Uses a small leg lift and stride to start swing. Line drive pop, upright finish. Defensively, took reps from the outfield, throws topped at 83 MPH with backspin and some carry.
