Colbert has a lean, athletic build at 6-feet 165-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.56 seconds and topped at 78 MPH with an exit velocity. Offensively, starts in a tall, opened stance with hands even with back shoulder and bat parallel to the ground. As pitch comes in, uses a leg lift and and stride to start load process, hands load down and back. Smooth, controlled swing with some elasticity in hip on finish. Effortless, with feel for the barrel. Power will continue to increase as he gets stronger. Defensively, took ground balls from third base. Shows some bounce and athleticism to his game. Throws topped at 79 MPH across the diamond with a long, loose arm. On the mound, fastball topped at 80 MPH and sat 79-80 for most of his outing. High-3/4 slot, long, loose arm. Curveball showed sharp 12/6 break at 65-66 with tight spin. Able to throw for it for strikes. Pounded the bottom half of the strike zone with fastball. Interesting prospect to keep an eye on as he continues to mature.
