McNamara has a lean, athletic build at 6-foot-2 180-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.28-seconds and recorded an exit velocity of 88 MPH. Offensively – LHH starts in a tall, wide stance with hands above back shoulder and bat parallel to the ground. Uses a small foot lift to start swing, hands load down slightly. Effortless swing through the zone with balance throughout. Line drive hitter with some projectability. Defensively – took reps at 1B. Throws topped at 78 MPH, sound footwork on double play feeds – able to play through throws with some momentum and place on the bag with backspin and firmness. Able to throw from multiple slots with ease. Pitching – Fastball topped at 83 MPH and sat mostly 81-83 throughout his two innings of work. Flashed a 1/7 curveball with tight spin and fastball arm speed at 63-65 and a changeup with armside run at 73-76 MPH. Able to command three pitches for strikes from the left side. Shows some tempo to start of delivery into a tall, stiff balance leg. Uphill shoulders going down the mound with a short, quick and clean arm action. Tall, stiff front landing leg. Foot lands in line with homeplate and finish is square. Finishes with some extension over lead side. High-3/4 slot.
