Kownacki has a strong and compact build at 5-foot-9, 160-pounds. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.18 seconds, top exit velocity recorded at 84 MPH. At the plate, has a wide and athletic stance with his feet even. Hands start by his back shoulder, move down and back during his load while bringing his barrel upright. Swings with controlled aggression. Strong lower half, clears the hips. In the outfield, had an aggressive approach, was able to consistently field outside his right foot. Top velo of 82 MPH on throws. On the bump, Kownacki pitched from a modified stretch position. Early hip hinge, rides his lower half down the slope. Hands work in unison with his lower half. Longer arm action, locks the elbow early. Higher 3/4 slot. Consistently pounded the zone with his FB, which was 78-79 MPH. CB had bigger 1/6 shape, more depth at the bottom of the zone at 66-68 MPH. CH imitated FB arm speed, had some run at 73-74 MPH.
