Positional Profile: C/IF. One of the top receivers at the event. Expect him to stay behind the dish.
Body: 5-foot-8, 141 pounds. Lean, athletic build. Wiry strength. Projects to add significant size and strength over the coming years
Defense: Catcher - Showed quality balance and control behind the plate. Received the ball and with added strength will be able to stick pitches outside of his frame. One of the few to drop and block each ball he was able to back to home plate. Flashes a 2.07 Pop Time. Clean mechanics and will continue to cut down his time as he adds strength to his frame. Infield - Some areas for improvement in the fielding process. Could maintain athleticism a bit longer as he stands up after he fields it. Presents the glove well, but does tend to field it slightly deep.
Arm: C - 65 mph. IF - 67 mph. Short, glove to ear arm action. Over-the-top arm slot. Some carry on his throws.
Hit: Athletic, wide and slightly opened stance. Hands start shoulder high. Minimal pre-pitch movement. Coiled load. Simple, short stride. Tends to let the ball get deep. When the bat head clear, saw some balls jump. Stayed in the middle of the field.
