Physical: Strong, imposing 6-foot-1, 210lb frame with durability that translates to his game. 8.47 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, open stance with the hands starting high by the head to begin; utilized a leg hang to initiate the swing through a flat, whippy path into the hitting zone. Worked short to extended, finding length at the last second before impact, creating some bat-control during batting practice. Sprayed tons of line-drive contact to the pull-side while hitting into a higher-postured, stiff front side en route to a 90% on-plane efficiency via Blast Motion (good bat to ball skills). Recorded a T80 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak (per Trackman) with room for more activity in the lower half.
Defensively: The primary backstop demonstrated a balanced, traditional setup in the crouch; a soft glove hand worked adequately at the catch with some pocket awareness. Pop times ranged from 2.08-2.15 using on-time pre-catch rhythm to gain momentum through the throw. Shifted the hips in-line with fluidity, replacing the feet and getting rid with quicker transfers from a ¾ slot (68 mph arm, accurate).
Physical: 6-foot-1, 195 pounds; sturdy frame with strong lower half. 8.2 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Wide stance with knees buckled in alongside low hands with both elbows lifted; uses a small stride forward but the hands creeping back to the catcher is the initial movement that begins the load. Okay use of the lower half, leaves back leg load a little early on occasions sometimes leaping at the ball with uphill swing path, uses quality side bend to reach the low pitch and match shoulder plane. Had a quality middle-oppo approach and stayed on the ball well; peak Trackman exit velocity of 88 MPH.
Defensively: Big target behind the dish, sturdy blocker; Used a quick switch of his feet gain some ground to the target. Firm hands that receive the ball well and work into a seamless transfer; short arm action from the ear with good acceleration through the throw. 2.26-2.33 pop times. C - 68 MPH.
Physical: 6-foot-1, 195-pounds. Strong, athletic build. 7.93 runner in the 60; 4.81 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, crouched stance with knees bent, long lasting leg kick to time pitch, hands head high with bat movement Long upward barrel path, hands get through the zone quickly, strong one-handed finish. Consistent contact, line drive hitter pull-side. 86 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: 2.12.2.20 pop times. Strong frame, fluent ball transfer, quick footwork, accurate throws around the bag. Long arm swing, 3/ arm slot. C - 66 MPH.
Pitching Delivery: Builds momentum with high leg lift, stays tall as glides out in line, finishes with intent and repeatable follow through.
Arm Action: Long arm swing down and back before getting up to high 3/4 slot.
FB: T75, 71-73 MPH. Downhill plane located in the zone.
CB: 61-62 MPH. Big, early 11- 5 break.
