Physical: Sturdy and powerful 6-foot, 180-pound frame with a feel for his body. 6.91 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with the hands idle at the ear with the barrel pointed over the shoulder during setup. Utilized a backwards-leaning leg hang with some weight shift towards contact allowing for a whippy, slightly uphill barrel path upon launch. Generated plenty of barrel speed at impact with high intent swings and repeatedly got high level hacks off in game action as well. Used the ground well in the box with ability to stay on offspeed pitches with feel for timing and deep extension. Recorded a max of 96 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball with a 74 mph barrel speed per Blast Baseball (which was well above average in comparison to his peers).
Defensively: The primary catcher displayed a low and narrow setup in the crouch with feel for an adequate glove hand that works softly at the catch point while receiving. Pop times ranged from 2.03-2.13 on accurate throws on the bag out of a high ¾ slot with a moderate takeaway and quick release. Used long and powerful straight line footwork towards the bag and showcased smooth transfers / catch and throw technique from the crouch. Worked hard on beating the ball to the spot in the dirt on either side of the plate with an advanced feel for lateral quickness and movements. C - 74 mph.
