Pitching- Thick frame, starts from the stretch, high knee lift, tempo is well paced, releases the ball from a high ¾ slot, quick hand-speed, Fastball peaked 80 MPH sat 77-79, CB 63-66, CH 70-73 mph with fade.


Campus Series St. Bonaventure (July 31, 2018)

Pitching – Starts from the stretch, slightly closed off stance, solid pace from the delivery, repeatable, high knee lift. Arm-action is short in the back and clean, fast out in front. Fastball sat 79 mph, peaked 81 MPH with late life. Slider has sweeping action, CH was a bit quick on one plane, athletic arm with more in the tank.

Treviso checks in at 5-foot-11 163 pounds. Offensively- Sightly open setup with a short take back featuring a slight barrel tip towards the mound. Hands work a short path into the zone, lower half rotation at the same time as the swing as more of a finish move. Middle to opposite field approach with balance. Exit velocity was 74 MPH (down 1 MPH from July).

Treviso stands in at 5-foot-10, 163-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 5.30 home to first. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding his hands in front of the chest using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a knee raise into the body to stride forward while his hands move back and down slightly into his hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation clearing his hips and using the whole body in the process of the swing. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with an upward lift barrel action throughout into a high two-handed follow through. Demonstrated solid contact with good plate coverage driving the ball to all fields during batting practice round. Recorded an exit velocity of 75 MPH. Defensively-  Good footwork and approach to the baseball. Moves well off the bag at first setting himself up for a clear throw. Athletic footwork with throws across the diamond and will have ability for the double play off first. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 71 MPH. Pitching- Sets up in the middle of the rubber with a high leg raise above the hip crease. Breaks down well with good separation into a high ¾ release point. Consistent with his mechanics and gets whole body involved in the pitching delivery. Consistent throwing strikes in the zone with clean mechanics. Fastball range was 75-76 MPH and peaked at 77 MPH with good cut action. Change-Up was 65-69 MPH with good arm side sink. Curveball was 61-63 MPH with 12/6 action that featured a tight break.
