Physical: Imposing, broad-shouldered frame at 6-foot, 230-pounds. Looks like a fullback.
Pitching: RHP. Hides the ball out of the stretch-only, pitching off of the far left corner of the rubber. Slight stab on the takeaway with a downhill finish to the FB. Worked up to 89MPH (86-89) and showed heavy action for Ks. Mixed a plus 75-77MPH SL near 20 inches HM to glove-side. Efficient two innings; loud vs. Team Canada.
Physical: 6-0, 216 pounds; Sturdy, muscular build. 7.28 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a heel lift for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing a strong lower half. Showed a downward swing path with a one-handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while covering ground laterally. Hands are underneath the body with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 85 MPH.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup working primarily from the stretch. Belt high leg drive with a slight lean over the belt. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Moderate arm swing while stabbing downward; standard 3/4 slot. Spins off 1B side with finish. FB: Peak velo of 86 MPH, while sitting 84-85 MPH; commands both sides. CB: 75-77 MPH; showed depth. Hit into a stiff front side with feel for the pull-side during batting practice; recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 80 mph per Trackman Baseball. Defensively: The primary outfielder featured a medium-high center of gravity fielding the ball off of the middle of his body, long movements in either direction and could range at times to the glove hand side. Accurate, high ¾ slot on throws from his position with an average pace during defensive evaluations. OF - 62 mph
