Physical: 5-foot-8, 165 pounds; Sturdy, build. 7.82 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while being aggressive. Hands are off to the side while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 72 MPH.
Physical: 5-foot-4, 135-pounds. Compact, athletic build.
Run: 8.15 runner in the 60. .
Hit: LHH. Starts with even feet about shoulder width, up right with hands up in front of shoulder; uses leg kick to gain ground while hands load straight back Short compact swing into the zone with barrel staying level through to a slightly elevated finish.
Power: 76 MPH raw exit velocity. solid contact through staying through the middle of the field.
Defense: Reserved foot work on approach fielding the ball in front into a shuffle step.
Arm: Long arm swing into a 3/4 arm slot. OF - 65 MPH.
Offensively- the left handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance with feet shoulder width apart. He starts with his hands in a high position and goes into a short simple load. Bailey will use a leg lift for timing and balanced before attacking the baseball. Displayed hard contact to the pull side during batting practice at the Fall Prospect Games. Defensively- the outfielder displayed active footwork. Gains momentum before throwing the baseball from a high ¾ arm slot. Bailey displayed an accurate arm on throws to the plate. The 2023 graduate will be one to follow as he continues to develop.
