Offensively: RHH - Crouched, open stance as the hands operated higher to start; utilized a gradual leg hang with some weight shift to initiate the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone. Worked into a stiff front side towards a deeper, lower finish producing a 67% fly ball rate via Trackman during his batting practice round. Generated some consistency on the barrel to the pull-side, using a quick lower half rotation to accelerate to the front of the plate; found success notching a T86 mph bat-exit velocity and added a near 330 foot batted ball distance on his best swing suggesting doubles power.
Defensively: The backstop featured a narrow, traditional stance in the crouch, showing off developing receiving skills. Pop times ranged from 2.12-2.19 using obvious pre-catch rhythm from a higher posture in the catch/throw phase. Got the feet replaced in-line and released quickly from a shorter, H ¾ slot (accurate, 70 mph arm strength).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle/left side of the rubber with moderate pace in the delivery; got to a balanced stack position and then paused before gaining some intent/tempo down the slope into footstrike. Released from a H ¾ slot, peppering the zone at 77-79 mph with a heavy FB (1907rpms). Mixed in a well-spun 62-65 mph CB with two-plane action, showing more sweep than depth.
Physical: Lean physical frame. 7.74 runner in the 60; 4.75 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Bent the knees, feet shoulders width apart, quick slide step with a fast and simple load action Level bat path, hands strong and quick through the zone. Line drive contact pull-side/middle. 80 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: 2.30-2.32 pop times. Low stance, consistent footwork, gains ground on throws to second, blocks the ball well. Short arm swing, high 3/4 arm slot. C - 61 MPH.
Pitching: Small sidestep and leg lift to the waist with a slight coil, gets into back side as strides in line to a repeatable release and follow through to the glove side. Long, fluid arm swing to a 3/4 release. FB: T74, 72-74 MPH. Pounds the zone with some tail. SL: 62-63 MPH. Keeps hands speed. CH: 59-62 MPH.
