Offensively: RHH. The righty started from a bent, open stance with the barrel starting flat on the shoulder; utilized a lift and replace stride in order to initiate the bat head through a flat path into the hitting zone. Recorded a 36% line drive rate spraying the baseball towards the middle of the field during batting practice; stayed in the backside well en route to notching an 81 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball. A 75% on plane efficiency according to Blast Motion points to high level barrel awareness at the plate.
Defensively: The primary outfielder got good reads off the bat with moderate pace during his defensive evaluation. Stayed medium in the posture with a soft, trusted glove hand working off the left side of his body on the approach. Accurate 73 mph arm strength with adequate momentum at release (high ¾ slot).
