Showcased a solid 5-foot-11, 175-pound frame with present strength and athleticism in his body. The right-handed hitter starts with a balanced, even stance utilizing a short leg-lift to initiate his swing. Demonstrated a line-drive approach with feel for his hands during batting practice. A flat barrel path allowed for consistent barrels towards the middle of the field. Fought for extension at times while hitting into a stiff front side. Registered a solid 83 mph bat-exit velocity. Primary outfielder displayed feet that arrived on time, consistently playing through the ball with a soft glove hand. Recorded accurate throws of 75 mph from his position while creating momentum towards the target. The infielder showed adequate range with a low center of gravity coupled with active feet yielding accurate 74 mph throws across the diamond.
A physical 5-foot-11, 170 pounds. Ran a 7.40 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box with a tall stance and slight bend at the knees. Uses a short load and toe tap for timing. Short compact swing through the hitting zone. Good use of the lower half and balanced throughout the swing. Displayed consistent hard contact during the hitting portion. Exit velocity was 84 MPH. Defensively- Displayed soft hands during the infield portion. Active footwork, gets in a good position when fielding the baseball. Follows his throws through the target, quick arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 78 MPH. The 2020 infielder as all around good actions. A must follow this spring and summer.
Athletic frame with a proportional build at 5-foot-10, 165-pounds. Offensively – Relaxed, upright stance with feet set just outside of shoulder width. Uses a reverse toe-tap to load before getting into low forward stride. Quick, compact swing. Hands stay inside of the ball and keep barrel level thru the zone. Keeps head quiet/still as he rotates around firm front side after contact. Defensively – In the OF, short, choppy steps when working thru the baseball. Receives ball on side of body and keeps momentum going as he gets into throwing motion. Gets more effort behind throws with a side shuffle. Quick arm action from release point. INF – Maintains body control when moving laterally. Shows control of a soft glove hand. Funnels ball out in front. Exchanges feet quickly to line up with target. Same quick, compact arm action as in the OF. Low release.
