Physical: 6-foot-3, 220 pounds; Athletic, sturdy build. 7.04 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a compact swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 98 MPH via Trackman. Showed good rhythm in the swing with a consistent feel of the barrel. Power potential to all parts of the field.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while showing choppy feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 92 MPH. Gets on top of the ball to create good carry.
Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using an angled drop step. Belt high leg drive with shoulders outside the hips. Has a moderate stride while landing slightly closed. Long arm swing while wrist hooks behind back; standard 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 89 MPH, while sitting 86-88 MPH; life through the zone. SL: 76-78 MPH; short action. CH: 76-77 MPH; fading action. Showed command of all three pitches, fastball shows ton of ride through the zone.
Physical: Strong, durable 6-foot-2, 205lb frame in a larger build. 7.44 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance at a wide position outside shoulder-width as the hands showed rhythm by the ear. Utilized a short leg-lift, gripping the ground and launching through a slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Hit into a stiff/adjustable front side that blocked off properly, allowing the hands to separate into extension and do damage at the front of the plate (T91 mph bat-exit velocity via Trackman, 328 foot batted ball distance). Mainly pull-side approach and stayed on a line into the LCF gap during his BP round (40% line drive rate) with good bat to ball skills. Held consistency and carried over momentum into strong at-bats during game action with some feel for the barrel.
Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated a quick pace during defense, staying on his toes and playing down through the baseball with a soft, loose glove hand off the inside of his left foot. Fielded cleanly in the pocket, exchanging and releasing with a moderate arm circle at H ¾ slot (79 mph, accurate). Corner outfield projection moving forward and some length in space.
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle of the rubber using a deep side rocker with pace into a balanced stack position, sweeping the leg down the slope and driving downward with the chest with intent at footstrike (H ¾ release). Pounded the zone at a downward angle out of the hand at 80-82 mph on the FB (2105rpms, 5.24 foot release height) and mixed a biting 70-72 mph CB on a 10-4 tilt that missed barrels at times (2302rpms max via Trackman).
