Impressive outing at the 2019 Fall Top Prospect Games for the 2023 left handed pitcher. Conway displayed a repeatable delivery and projectable arm. Conway worked with a three pitch mix during live game action. FB peaked at 77 MPH which was an improvement from earlier in the summer. Conway does have a slight crossfire action from a high 3/4 arm slot. Conway is projectable and a must follow as he continues to develop.
The 5-foot-9, 135-pound primary left-handed pitcher displayed a lean frame with room to add on. The lefty worked from the stretch only utilizing a repeatable, high ¾ delivery with some crossfire. Fastballs played primarily up in the zone sitting 73-75 mph. Countered with solid feel of a slow, sweeping 55-57 mph curveball. The left-handed hitter begins with a square stance utilizing a leg-hang to initiate his swing. Hands demonstrated fast wiggle at the ear and pulled slightly through a flat bat-path upon impact. Recorded a 73 mph bat-exit velocity with a line-drive approach during batting practice. Featured easy actions in the outfield with adequate footwork arriving to the ball consistently on time. Momentum created accurate 70 mph arm-strength from his position out of a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot.
