Wide, slightly open stance with bend in the knees and hands relaxed in front of shoulder; gains ground on a low stride while the hands get straight back. strong, balanced lower half staying behind the ball well with direct path to contact with a 65% on plane efficiency. Solid groundball and line drive contact to the pull side; peak Trackman exit velocity of 85 MPH.
Defensively: Uses prep step; active foot work playing through the ball routinely. soft glove fielding the ball in front with clean transfers; moderate arm action to a low 3/4 slot. INF - 78 MPH.
Pitching: Fundamental delivery with balance through out to a repeatable release . Long, whippy arm action to a natural 3/4 release. Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stands with loose hands. Quick direct path to the baseball. Kelly sprayed the ball all over the field during batting practice at the Last Chance event. Kelly has a slight lift at the point of contact. Defensively, Kelly worked out at shortstop. Kelly has a smooth approach to the baseball. Quick exchange ans release from a mid 3/4 arm slot. On the mound, the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery and projectable live arm. Kelly works off a balanced delivery and works down hill with low effort. Kelly throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot.
