Pitching: RHP - Featured adequate pace in the delivery, repeating well with a tall, imposing look on his move down the slope. Got to a balanced stack, driving downward into a blocked off, sequenced lower half, producing arm talent through a H ¾ slot. The FB landed at 79-81 mph at T2251rpms and flashed big arm-side run up to T20 inches of HM (via Trackman). Dropped in a sharp, lateral 72-74 mph SL with 1736rpms average, spinning up to T18 inches of HM at its peak.
Physical: Projectable, lengthy 6-foot-2, 170-pound frame with room to continue adding strength. 8.18 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Started from a wide even stance with a crouched feel to it; hands began low on the shoulder. Utilized a gather load back to the backside coupled with a toe tap to initiate the hands through a flat path with extension and leverage after impact. Recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 88 mph per Trackman Baseball during his round with a near 30% line drive rate. Accrued a 267 foot batted ball distance which could be attributed to slightly deep contact points. If cleaned up, could tap into a big time power ceiling (20.3 G’s of rotational acceleration) according to Blast Motion.
Defensively: The first baseman featured adequate feel around the bag with long strides and lateral movements at his position, arrived on time from a crouched posture at the fielding window, semi-stiff glove hand and accurate, long, high ¾ slot on the release across the diamond (73 mph).
